The students found that their plans helped inform their research and conversely they were able to add to their plans through their research.

Multiple Movie Editing in Year 3

Movies created in Explain Everything can be exported to iMovie.

The Explain Everything movies appear like any other movie input in iMovie.

We also learned to make credits for our movies which acknowledged all online sources used in making the movie.
In Mrs Murazko's, Mrs Pott's and Mrs Woods' Year 3 classes the students learned to create movies from multiple movie files or sources using iMovie app. As the students had learned how to create explanations in Explain Everything already they thought it would be a good source for adding to their procedural videos they are creating in iMovie. It was also a great opportunity to learn how to created credits that can acknowledge sources obtained online using the text titles to reference websites that they researched using a Google Advanced Search.

After completing a digital worksheet that familiarised them with the inputs, outputs and editing elements the students were able to create life cycles of animals of their own choice.

5 Stage Design Thinking Process - Plan/Ideate/Design/Prototype/Test
The students in Mr Hort's and Mrs Wallace's class used the the Design Thinking process to add an element of Design to their Digital products - a biography or autobiography stop motion animation movie. After using the Stop Motion studio app in Science to produce a short animation about Symbiosis the students were well placed to engage with a larger and longer creation. However, as part of the planning phase it became apparent that an iPad holder of unique design was needed. The ideas were plentiful and the designs very unique.
