The students in Mrs Gordon's class learned to make a digital poster about their Science topic using the Pic Collage app on the iPad. First, they research water related images for Science using online resources such as Google Advanced Search and
www.pixabay.com which provided filtered, safe and copyright free choices for the students to use. The students also learned that a way they could double check their images is to look for light writing on the image (water mark) or a website. The class also learned to use the colour wheel to create a colour scheme for their posters that was easy for their audience to read and related to the topic - water. The students came up with some fantastic key words such as wave, lake and waterfall while researching. Well done Year 2's!
